American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position in Biddeford, ME, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active ME or compact RN license.

56-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit (3rd floor) in a hospital setting
-
General Med/Surg Telemetry patient population
-
Patient ratios: 1:4–5 on days, 1:5–6 on nights
-
Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
-
Weekend hours vary
-
2 on-call shifts (12 hours each) required per 13-week contract
-
Floating required to other Med/Surg units as needed, with a 25-mile float policy between facilities

EMR: Epic
-
Active RN license (ME or compact) currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
-
BLS certification required; non-AHA BLS accepted at submission but AHA-issued cert must be completed before start date

ACLS preferred

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required

Driver's License required for consideration

13-week contract

Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local and are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions

Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this when applying

RTO is at the manager's discretion; 3–4 days is considered a reasonable request for a 13-week contract

Scrubs may be any color; attire must be clean and professional — hoodies, graphic shirts, and open-toed shoes are not permitted

Personal electronic devices including AirPods, laptops, and cell phones are prohibited on the unit

Orientation and education modules completed through LMS, consistent for all travelers on the unit
