Administers medications, monitors resident’s status change(s), supervises CNA staff. Responsible for approximately 30 residents, changing wound dressings, documenting on each resident and providing detailed daily assessments of skilled residents, and alerting House Supervisor of a resident’s status change.
Performs direct patient care under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. Assists residents with actives of daily living (ADLs). A valid CNA certificate is required.
Administers prescribed medications to residents and maintains related medical records under immediate supervision. Verifies identity of patient receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records. Must be willing to work the floor if needed. (Requires CNA & CMA)
Responsible for helping with lunch and solely responsible for dinner, the Evening Cook prepares food according to the recipe(s) in a safe and efficient manner. The Evening Cook is responsible for maintaining his/her assigned area in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition, ensuring all equipment is clean and ready for use. The Evening Cook also tracks inventory and orders supplies when needed and keeps supply room in good order. This job does require repetitive movements including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods of time.
Resident Aides assist with recording vital signs, documenting cares, and assisting with ADLs including housekeeping, laundry, activities, and dining services as necessary within our assisted living community. All Resident Aides are required to go through a medication manager course if not already certified.
