Location: Remote (Initial travel to Minneapolis/St. Paul area preferred)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate ($110+/hour depending on experience)
IDI Distributors (IDI) is a leading insulation distributor and building products supplier with approximately 70 locations across the United States. As the organization continues to enhance its reporting and analytics capabilities, they are seeking an experienced Power BI Financial Reporting Consultant to support a high-impact financial reporting initiative.
This is a project-based engagement focused on developing executive-level reporting and dashboards within a complex ERP environment. The consultant will work closely with the VP of FP&A and Data Architect to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly financial reporting solutions.

Design and develop Power BI financial reporting solutions and dashboards
Create multi-layered P&L reporting for various stakeholder groups, including:

CFO
-
VP of FP&A
-
District Managers
-
Operational Leaders
-
Implement and manage role-based security and reporting access controls

Work with data models, tables, objects, and financial datasets within SAP environments
-
Collaborate with business leaders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions

Ensure reporting accuracy, data integrity, and usability
-
Document processes, reporting structures, and security configurations
-
Train end users and stakeholders on report functionality and best practices
-
Partner closely with the Data Architect to optimize reporting architecture and performance

Extensive experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI
-
Strong background creating and maintaining financial reporting, including P&L reporting
-
Experience implementing row-level and role-based security within Power BI
-
Ability to build reporting solutions for multiple user groups with varying levels of data access and visibility

Strong understanding of data structures, tables, relationships, and business intelligence concepts

Excellent communication, documentation, and end-user training skills
-
Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment

Experience working with SAP S/4HANA

Candidates with SAP R/3 or other SAP ERP experience will also be considered

Experience supporting FP&A, finance, or executive reporting initiatives
