Duties
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including service, food quality, and cleanliness.
- Supervise and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience for every guest.
- Manage shift schedules, coordinate staff assignments, and ensure smooth shift transitions to maximize efficiency.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and safety protocols.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; perform cash handling and reconciliation duties.
- Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and assist with ordering supplies to reduce waste and optimize resources.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to develop skills in food handling, safety procedures, and customer service excellence.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards through regular inspections and staff training.
- Support management in analyzing profit and loss reports to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management; casual dining or fine dining experience is a plus.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and health regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing, training, and team leadership.
- Basic math skills for inventory control, budgeting, and profit analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of hospitality and customer service.
- Previous assistant manager or managerial experience within the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
