Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Fire Watch Officer to ensure the safety and compliance of construction sites, facilities, and buildings with fire safety regulations. In this role, you will monitor designated areas to prevent fire hazards, conduct inspections, and respond promptly to emergencies. Your proactive approach will help safeguard personnel, property, and the environment while maintaining strict adherence to fire codes and safety standards. Duties
- Conduct continuous fire watch patrols of construction sites, buildings, or designated areas to identify potential fire hazards.
- Shifts are on call by call basis and run 8 -12 hour shifts
- Monitor fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and other fire safety equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with NFPA standards.
- Perform detailed fire prevention inspections in accordance with building codes, life safety regulations, and the International Fire Code (IFC).
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately during inspections and emergency responses to ensure safety.
- Document all inspections, incidents, and observations accurately in logs and reports for compliance tracking and review.
Skills
- Documenting up to the minute logs of patrol legible and orderly for site/fire marshall review
- Ability to operate fire apparatus or related equipment safely during emergency responses.
- Excellent customer service skills for engaging with contractors, site personnel, and regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures for various incident scenarios involving fires or hazardous materials.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
