Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Part Time Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as schematics and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including fixtures, pipes, and drainage to ensure optimal operation.
- Carry out HVAC system repairs and maintenance to ensure climate control efficiency throughout the facility.
- Execute building interior maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and facilities upkeep to uphold high standards of appearance and safety.
- Follow safety protocols while working with electrical equipment, welding tools, or during maintenance painting projects to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, schematics readings, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with knowledge of electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, mechanical repairs, and building interior upkeep.
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical equipment repair, maintenance painting, carpentry, welding skills, and the use of hand tools.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces.
- A proactive attitude with leadership qualities that support teamwork and efficient task completion.
