Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Mizzou Football Event Staff. We are currently hiring for gate attendants, ushers, suite ushers, and field level ushers.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and smoothly run event experience for all attendees. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant sports environment, providing essential support in event management, guest services, and safety operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of event areas, ensuring all equipment and materials are properly handled and stored
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and guiding attendees throughout the venue
- Manage crowd control and monitor guest behavior to promote safety and compliance with event policies
- Engage with guests of all ages, including working with children and providing hospitality services
- Address conflicts or concerns promptly and professionally to maintain a positive environment
- Communicate effectively with team members through public speaking or team briefings to ensure seamless event execution
Qualifications
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques and conflict resolution skills
- Experience working with children or in youth-focused environments is advantageous
- Strong communication skills suitable for public speaking and guest interactions
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during events
