Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items quickly and accurately, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Follow recipes meticulously to maintain flavor profiles and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, poaching stations, braising pots, and other culinary tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices
- Assist with meal preparation for catering events or large-volume service when needed
- Support menu planning efforts by providing feedback on dish execution and ingredient needs
- Ensure cleanliness of workstations and comply with all food safety management protocols throughout each shift
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a high-volume environment
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and sautéing
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and menu planning to accommodate special dietary needs
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving guests promptly and professionally
