Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented CNC Machining Supervisor to lead our first-shift manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of CNC machining processes on first shift, including CNC lathes and milling machines equipped with Fanuc controls.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of machinists and operators to meet production goals while maintaining safety standards.
- Oversee setup, calibration, and programming of CNC machines using CAM programming software; ensure adherence to blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Conduct quality inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part specifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, machine logs, and inspection reports; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on tooling selection, machine maintenance schedules, and process improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience supervising CNC machining operations within a manufacturing environment; knowledge of CNC programming is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience operating CNC milling machines and lathes using Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and applying GD&T principles for precise part fabrication.
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, welding techniques, and assembly procedures is a plus.
- Skilled in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar for design review and tooling development.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances.
- Experience with power tools, hand tools, tooling management, forklift operation, and safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
