Javelin Logistics Company, Inc is an industry leader in material management, logistics, and comprehensive transportation services with proven accuracy, flexibility, and on-time delivery is seeking to immediately hire a Full Time Dispatcher for their Newark, CA Facility.
Pay Range: $70,304 to $75,000 per year
Shift: Monday through Friday 10 AM -6:30 PM
Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating daily driver, dispatch, terminal, freight, and vehicle operations. Ensures efficient routing, timely service, driver compliance, vehicle readiness, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate driver assignments, routes, and daily dispatch operations.
- Monitor driver progresses and ensures schedules are met.
- Ensure pre-trip inspections, uniforms, equipment, and vehicle standards are maintained.
- Track mileage, fuel, and vehicle maintenance issues.
- Review trip logs and manifests for accuracy.
- Organize freight and support cross-dock and transfer operations.
- Respond to and resolve customer and service issues.
- Provide leadership, address driver performance issues, and support a safe, efficient work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of transportation or logistics experience.
- Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Forklift Certification preferred.
- Must be available for occasional after-hours emergency calls.
