Pizza Cook
A Pizza Cook is responsible for preparing and producing high-quality pizzas and related menu items in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and consistency to ensure every pizza meets the restaurant's standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and stretch dough to correct size and thickness according to house standards. Sauce, top, and assemble pizzas accurately based on order tickets and recipes. Operate and monitor conveyor ovens, maintaining proper temperatures. Manage multiple pies simultaneously during high-volume service while maintaining quality and timing. Prep ingredients including slicing, portioning, and stocking toppings, cheeses, and sauces. Monitor dough inventory and communicate restocking needs to kitchen leadership. Maintain a clean and organized pizza station throughout the shift. Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures. Work closely with other kitchen staff and front of house to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Learn and execute any specialty pies, seasonal items, or limited-time offerings on the menu.
Requirements
- Prior kitchen or food service experience preferred (1+ years)
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Familiarity with pizza-making techniques and oven operation a plus
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot environment
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
Work Environment
High-heat kitchen environment with exposure to open flames and hot ovens. Fast-paced during peak service hours, particularly evenings and weekends. Shifts typically range from 6–10 hours.
Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
