The Paralegal ll position is a full-time, salaried position, with the responsibility of managing tasks and activities as assigned and required by the Director of Legal and Senior Partner. This position and its related functions require interaction with many aspects of the Company.
The overall effectiveness of the person in this role understands the importance of facilitating all content that flows between the Company’s internal and external customers. Consistently showing responsibility for matters that have been delegated until completed is essential to achieve the desired results in this role. The individual holding this position must manage the key responsibilities and stated functions as a solutions-oriented team member, to achieve compensation increases and/or career advancement.

Specific Daily (and Ongoing) Tasks:

Oversee and manage the attorney’s calendar
-
Communicate with clients, vendors, courts and opposing counsel
-
Organize and maintain legal files and records
-
File documents with both state and federal courts
-
Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and compliance
-
Work efficiently and collaboratively with attorneys, legal support staff and case managers
-
Drafting pleadings, motions and other legal documents
Required Attributes:
-
Lemon Law experience preferred
-
2+ Years Paralegal experience required
-
Have a paralegal certificate or meet the criteria as defined by the CA BPC § 6450

Legal Research

Calendaring
-
Experience preparing motions, oppositions, declarations, replies, TOCs and TOAs, separate statement, etc. required

Experience in coordinating depositions, as well as drafting corresponding deposition notices and objections required

Experience in coordinating mediations preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook)

Pay range: $85K- $100K DOE
