About Us:
Pasta & Provisions has proudly served Charlotte for over 30 years, bringing the best in market-style dishes and authentic Italian flavors to our community. We are passionate about food and community, and we’re looking for a motivated and dependable Line Chef to join our back-of-house team. This location offers a lunch service and a market as well. This position requires a chef who is willing to learn to make our recipes for lunch service and our prepared foods for our market.

Kitchen Service Hours:
- Monday-Thursday and Saturday: 11 am - 3 pm
- Friday: 11 am - 8 pm
- Sunday: 12 pm - 6 pm
Market Hours
- Monday - Thursday and Saturday: 10 am - 7 pm
- Friday: 10 am - 8 pm
- Sunday: 12 pm- 6 pm
An average shift is in a similar structure to a 9 am-5 pm shift, excluding days the kitchen is open longer hours (Fridays and Sundays). This post is for a full-time position to assist during our kitchen service hours, and will require an applicant who can work up to 40 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items to recipe specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Organize the walk-in and freezer, manage incoming inventories
- Assure the station is stocked with all prepared prep for service
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Prepare food for the kitchen line and FOH retail market items
- Support a smooth and efficient kitchen service
Requirements:
- Entry-level; no professional cooking experience required—just a great attitude and an interest in culinary arts!
- Must be available to work weekdays and weekends (Sunday and Monday required), including mornings and some holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Team player with strong communication and time management skills
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
