Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various systems, including surveillance equipment, network, and audio video systems. This role requires a strong understanding of hardware, system design, and the ability to read schematics. The Installation Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Install and configure surveillance cameras, network equipment, and audio video equipment at client locations (residential and commercial).
- Utilize power tools and hand tools to perform installations safely and accurately.
- Conduct system tests to ensure proper functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation.
- Use remote access software to diagnose problems and provide support for installed systems.
- Collaborate with clients and sales staff to assess needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and client interactions.
- Provide training to clients on the operation of installed systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology related to audio/video systems.
Qualifications
- Have a clean driving record and current driver's license. (Work van is provided.)
- Can safely navigate attics and crawl spaces to run wires.
- Proficiency in consumer electronics and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Experience with power tools and hand tools used in installation processes (must have your own).
- Ability to mount televisions and set up audio video receivers.
- Familiarity with programming universal remotes.
- Familiarity with network and surveillance technology.
- Understanding of schematics related to floor plans and wiring diagrams.
- Experience as a service technician in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
