Job Overview
We are looking for a passionate and energetic server to join our team at our Italian restaurant. As a server, you are the face of our dining experience, providing warm hospitality, knowledgeable recommendations, and attentive service that reflects the spirit of Italian culture.
Our goal is to make every guest feel welcome and taken care of from the moment they arrive until they leave. You will play an important role in creating a memorable experience through genuine service and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS
- Maintain strong knowledge of the menu, including Italian dishes, wines, and daily specials
- Make recommendations and upsell food and wine pairings
- Serve food and beverages with proper timing and presentation
- Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and handle any concerns promptly
- Process payments accurately and efficiently
- Keep tables, service stations, and dining areas clean and organized
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Work closely with hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
Qualifications
- Previous serving experience required; upscale or Italian restaurant experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of or interest in Italian cuisine and wine
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tables in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable upselling and engaging with guests
- Positive attitude, reliability, and team-oriented mindset
