Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor digesters, pumps, valves, and auxiliary equipment to optimize biogas production and maintain system stability.
- Conduct routine inspections of piping, instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), electrical systems, and mechanical components to ensure operational integrity.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, gas turbines, pumps, and power generation systems to prevent downtime.
- Respond promptly to system alarms or malfunctions by troubleshooting issues using engineering principles and technical knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations by accurately recording data related to wastewater treatment, gas emissions, and other environmental parameters.
- Manage heavy equipment operation safely during maintenance activities or emergency response situations while utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) including respiratory protection.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily operations, support safety initiatives, and uphold best practices in hazardous environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, or power plant operations with a focus on energy generation systems.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Familiarity with oil & gas industry standards, gas turbine generation, boiler operation, and electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery and perform heavy lifting safely in outdoor work environments.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations including PPE use, respiratory protection protocols, and emergency response readiness.
- Excellent math skills for precise measurements and troubleshooting engineering issues.
- Prior experience working with pipeline systems or in outdoor settings that require environmental compliance awareness.
- Ability to lead or work within a team environment while maintaining a focus on safety and operational excellence.
