Right now, we’re looking for a Legal Assistant to join our close-knit team in Marietta—someone who’s organized, kind under pressure, and eager to make a difference in people’s lives.
Job Summary
In the short term, you’ll support our probate paralegal and learn the ins and outs of the legal assistant role. You’ll help ensure our estate planning and probate matters run smoothly—communicating with clients and courts, managing email and correspondence, and being the calm, competent presence that keeps things moving.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and proofread estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives).
- Assist with probate filings, including petitions, notices, inventories, and accountings.
- Track deadlines for court filings and hearings.
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and court personnel.
- Maintain and update client files (physical and digital).
- Schedule client meetings and manage attorney calendars.
- Handle notarizations and witness signatures where required.
- Coordinate execution of estate plans and assist with trust funding processes.
- Manage intake for new estate and probate matters, including gathering assets and family information.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with probate and estate planning law
- Legal Research and Writing
- Document Preparation (e.g., petitions, contracts, affidavits)
- Case Management and Filing
- Familiarity with Legal Terminology
- Strong Organizational and Communication Skills
- Attention to Detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Legal Software (e.g., Lawcus, Go High Level)
