General Definition of Work
The Hampton Hall Club’s Recreation/Fitness Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, and assisting guests with programs and equipment. This position reports directly to the Director of Sports and Recreation.
Essential Functions
The following functions are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.
- Front Desk Reception

Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in fitness and/or recreation activities.
- Serve as host/emcee for group activities. Be a source of all Hampton Hall Club specific information to provide a safe, fun, and memorable experience.
- Promote a comfortable, healthy environment for guests.
- Provide information to guests about available fitness, recreation, and social activities. Promote the rules and regulations of the Fitness Center and Aquatics Facilities intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members.
- Observe activity in the Fitness Center and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency.
- Clean and maintain equipment and supplies.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.

Must maintain a professional and friendly attitude towards all owners and guests.

Daily cleaning of pool deck (indoor and outdoor) and Fitness Center.

Cater to the needs and special requests of members.

Uphold policies and procedures to ensure member safety in a polite and professional manner.

Keep supplies stocked in the locker rooms.

Ensure towels are cleaned and folded properly.

Maintain a professional and organized front desk area at all times.

Has knowledge and understanding of Hampton Hall’s company policies

Process payments made by members.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- High school graduate or equivalent

Previous recreation or fitness background preferred.

Physical Requirements
This work requires the regular exertion of up to 50 pounds of force, frequent exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires standing and using hands to finger, handle or feel, frequently walking, speaking or hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling, lifting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires sitting, climbing or balancing and tasting or smelling; work requires close vision; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires visual inspection involving food products. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Appropriate uniforms and anti-slip safety shoes must be worn.
Licenses and Special Requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and POS systems

CPR and First Aid certified preferred.
