Duties
- Accurately enter prescription data into pharmacy software systems while maintaining strict patient confidentiality
- Prepare and compound medications, including sterile IV infusions and aseptic techniques for critical care and hospital settings
- Assist with medication inventory management, including ordering, stock rotation, and regulatory compliance checks
- Support patient service activities such as intake, medication counseling, and answering medication-related questions with professionalism
- Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations for accurate medication dosing and preparation in accordance with medical terminology and pharmacological principles
- Maintain meticulous records of medication dispensing, IV compounding procedures, and data entry logs to support audit readiness and quality assurance
Qualifications
- Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong background in hospital or community pharmacy environments
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation, medical terminology, and aseptic technique is essential
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and data entry processes to ensure efficient workflow
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a commitment to patient care and maintaining confidentiality
