Duties: The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction’s office and performs a variety of confidential administrative and clerical duties. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing, proofreading, and formatting correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents using personal computer applications.
- Managing the Assistant Superintendent's calendar, appointments, meetings, and daily schedule.
- Serving as the primary contact for the office by answering and directing telephone calls, responding to inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Conducting complex file searches and maintaining accurate records and filing systems.
- Tracking multiple projects, assignments, and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Utilizing technology effectively, including a variety of software applications, database management systems, and electronic document retrieval systems.
- Collaborating with district staff, administrators, and external partners while maintaining the ability to work independently when necessary.
- Demonstrating strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
This position is located at the Verona District Offices Building and is a 12-month, non-negotiating support staff position. The successful candidate will support a fast-paced administrative office environment while serving as a key resource to Executive Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Secretarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field; OR
- High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years of clerical experience involving typing and administrative support.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and office technology required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as needed.
- Civil Service position subject to examination requirements.
