Novant Health Pediatrics Mint Hill is seeking a PRN Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)!
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm — 1-2 shifts a week
Join Novant Health Pediatrics Mint Hill as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and help provide compassionate, personalized care to patients. You’ll work alongside a collaborative clinical team while building meaningful relationships with patients and supporting them throughout their care journey.
This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience working with pediatrics patients or in a medical office setting, though motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply!

What We're Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.

Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required.

Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required.

Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required.

Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
What You'll Do:
Job responsibilities include:

Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures

Collect and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.)

Perform clinical observations and report any concerns to medical staff

Document patient information accurately in charts, including medical histories and medications

Assist with administering injections as directed by providers

Perform basic bloodwork and specimen collection

Maintain up-to-date patient records

Support overall clinical workflow to ensure efficient patient care
