Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm, ensuring accuracy and efficiency using POS systems like touch bistro
- Prepare and serve food items, maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Manage cash transactions accurately, handle cashing out customers, and process payments swiftly using POS systems.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales, demonstrating excellent sales skills.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, bus tables, and assist in food prep or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth restaurant operations.
- Ensure all food industry safety protocols are followed, including proper sanitation practices and food storage procedures.
- Assist with basic math calculations for retail math, grocery store transactions, or food portioning to ensure accuracy in all transactions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus but can be trained on-site.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.
