Duties
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions focused on adolescent development, behavioral health, and social-emotional learning.
- Assist students with academic advising, goal setting, and navigating challenges related to school performance or personal growth.
- Implement behavioral management strategies and student behavioral guidance plans aligned with school policies and educational regulations.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, parents, and external professionals such as social workers or child protective services to support student welfare.
- Manage confidential student information with integrity, ensuring compliance with legal standards and school policies.
- Provide crisis intervention and conflict management support to promote a safe and respectful school environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in educational or counseling settings, preferably within a faith-based or multicultural environment.
- Strong knowledge of school legal requirements, educational compliance standards, and child welfare protocols.
- Expertise in guidance counseling techniques, behavior management, and social work principles tailored for adolescents.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication, team collaboration, and student engagement.
- Background in childhood development theories, adolescent psychology, and mental health counseling approaches.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professional boundaries.
