Cardiology of Hudson Valley is seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and dependable Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our growing outpatient cardiology practice.
Schedule:
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday
- No weekends
Responsibilities
- Triage and room patients
- Obtain vital signs, update medical histories, medication reconciliation
- Perform 12-lead ECGs
- Draw blood (phlebotomy)
- Assist physicians during treadmill ECG stress testing
- Confirm and schedule patient appointments
- Return patient phone calls and relay messages appropriately
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Maintain exam rooms and medical equipment
- Assist with other clinical and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification preferred, but not required
- Phlebotomy experience required
- ECG experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Friendly, professional, and patient-centered attitude
- Cardiology experience is a plus but not required
