Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orbital Welder and Pipefitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise orbital welding and pipefitting tasks across various industrial projects, ensuring all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the successful assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems in manufacturing, construction, or pipeline environments. Responsibilities
- Perform orbital welding using specialized equipment, adhering strictly to blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards.
- Pipefitting duties including measuring, cutting, threading, soldering, tube bending, and assembly of piping systems.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and mechanical diagrams to execute precise welds and pipe installations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and rigging equipment to prepare materials and assemble piping components efficiently.
- Conduct inspections of welds and pipe fittings for quality assurance; perform non-destructive testing as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to welding or pipefitting processes; assist in maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in orbital welding techniques such as MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and <LOCATION> welding standards.
- Strong background in pipefitting including threading pipes, soldering, tube bending, and assembly in industrial settings.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with ASME codes & standards is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with hand tools, power tools, calipers, schematics, and rigging equipment.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing practices, pipeline construction, and maintenance procedures.
- Experience working on construction sites or manufacturing environments with a focus on safety compliance.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; familiarity with schematics for system layout is essential.
- Certification in welding (such as AWS Certified Welder) or pipefitting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain relevant certifications is a plus. Pay: $38.50 - $42.50 per hour
