Job Summary
Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented OPD Power and Gas Team Lead in Florida. The OPD Power and Gas Florida Team Lead position will report to the OPD Area Manager and be responsible for overseeing the collection, analysis, and review of evidence related to third-party utility damages, ensuring accurate and successful production of damage claims across the region for our current and future Power and Gas clients. In addition to their Team Lead responsibilities, this role will continue to perform the core responsibilities of a Damage Specialist within the respective markets.
Key Responsibilities

Assist field manager with supervision of designated set of field damage specialist across the regional power and gas footprint on a daily basis with stated metrics goals for claims delivery to be met.

Help ensure the proper techniques and processes are practiced consistently on every claim by the OPD Power and gas team, proper liability is determined, and the overall quality of every claim lives up to the standardized package expectations put in place by the department as well as its training arm.

Work closely with the OPD power and gas team to ensure that all claims are consistently completed to the standard set by PRG.

Identify and help implement new processes that will better integrate PRG’s systems and methods into the client’s management systems, with the shared goal of capturing every third-party damage that takes place within the market/region for assessment and recovery, as well as capturing each damage as it takes place, and shortening the window of time between damage and invoice.

Drive increased visibility for PRG to successfully achieve maximized damage notification through attending technician meetings and educational efforts with PRG’s OPD clients. Developing consistent interaction with our clients between both the manager and the Damage Specialists is critical to growing and maintaining a successful program.

Continue to grow PRG’s presence within 811, CGA, and local damage prevention councils, as well as bring energy to the table for an overall damage prevention program and focus on our daily efforts and interactions in the community.

Work closely with the National Claims Manager and his team of recovery agents, administrative resources, and recovery supervisors to ensure that what is produced in the field ends with the successful recovery of funds for PRG’s clients.

Continually audit and QC the regional resources’ efforts to ensure standards and metrics are met.

Work directly with peers across the department to achieve departmental goals and assist in the growth and evolution of the department.

Communicate with Power and Gas Dispatch center to ensure proper scheduling and response times are met.

Perform ongoing safety training sessions on a weekly basis with Damage Specialist team members

Ensure that all Safety requirements are met at all times.
Required Qualifications
-
Must possess a valid and current driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle suitable for representing the company, and auto insurance meeting both federal and state requirements, with minimum auto liability coverage of 100/300/100 for bodily injury and property damage.

Must be willing and able to utilize a personal vehicle for work-related travel as required.

Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Word and comfortable using public or shared computer systems

Previous experience in investigations and/or law enforcement is highly desirable

Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills

Familiarity with the utility or utility locating industry

Background in business operations with a strong attention to detail

Proven ability to multitask and effectively manage time in a dynamic environment
Physical Requirements
-
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

Ability to drive a personal vehicle to various damage sites, including daytime and nighttime travel.

Ability to walk and work on uneven terrain and in varying weather conditions.

Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Ability to bend, stoop, or reach as necessary to perform essential job duties.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive annual salary of $60,000 - $65,000, based on experience. Along with a comprehensive benefits package, including:
