Job Summary:
Are you passionate about your HVACR career ? Would you like to be instrumental in bringing up the next generation of HVACR professionals? Southeast Michigan Construction Academy (SEMCA) is seeking an experienced HVACR technician who would like to give back to the trade by sharing their knowledge and expertise with apprentices.
This instructor would teach part-time, two evenings per week, at SEMCA's Sterling Heights campus. Classes begin in early September and are held on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM.
Pay: $45 per hour.
Previous classroom experience is not required. Paid instructor training will be provided. Curriculum and resources are provided.
School Overview:
Southeast Michigan Construction Academy offers programs in electrical, carpentry, welding and HVAC. SEMCA has been instructing apprentices in the skilled trades for over 30 years.
Requirements:
- Master-level or experienced journeyman HVACR technician
- Ability to work in the evening
- Basic computer literacy
- Inspired to teach the next generation of electricians
