SUMMARY
The Human Resources Recruitment & Retention Specialist will work closely with the Recruitment Manager to provide essential operational support in the recruitment of qualified individuals to fill vacancies across the academic and business-related capacity. This role focuses on the daily execution of recruitment activities—such as sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and attending job fairs—while actively supporting retention efforts through the administration of employee surveys, recognition programs, and onboarding tasks.
As a primary liaison for both applicants and current employees, the Recruitment & Retention Specialist ensures a smooth transition into the District and assists in identifying ways to improve the employee experience. By maintaining accurate data and providing high-quality customer service, this position helps build a stable, qualified, and motivated workforce.
May participate in recruitment functions at In-state and Out-of-State universities, colleges, and national conventions based on HR Director approved compensable hours.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Associate’s degree in business or public administration or related field AND
Two (2) years of experience in administrative or human resources-related support roles in a business
OR
Four (4) years of experience in an administrative or human resource-related support role in a business office. -
Recruiting & Sourcing to include: Experience in planning, executing, and attending in-person recruiting events.

Data & Feedback to include: Experience collecting and analyzing employee feedback data (interviews, onboarding check-ins, or engagement surveys).

HR experience to include: Experience in onboarding, client success, or customer service roles focused on employee/customer satisfaction.

Engagement & Retention to include: Experience administering employee retention programs, engagement initiatives, or employee recognition systems.

Visual Marketing to include: Experience using Canva, social media, or basic design tools to create recruitment flyers and employee recognition materials.

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Experience administering employee retention programs, engagement initiatives, or employee recognition systems.

Experience working in a K-12 school district setting.

Demonstrated knowledge of HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), or ERP systems (such as Infinite Visions, etc.)

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), database management and internet research.

Bilingual – Spanish/English

FTE: 1.0 – 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
