Job description
PROJECTS COORDINATOR
Family-owned and operated real estate company based in Cambridge & Newton, MA seeks Projects Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of Project Department and Project Manager.
We are looking for a highly capable construction professional to work directly with upper and Project Management, supporting the day‑to‑day execution of active projects. This is a hybrid, hands‑on role for someone with strong construction knowledge, solid organizational skills, and a desire to grow into a construction management position.
This person will help coordinate subcontractors, track progress, manage details, handle logistics, and step in as needed to keep jobs moving. You will be the PM’s right hand in the field — solving problems, staying ahead of issues, and ensuring work is progressing according to plan.
This is not a desk‑only position. You should be comfortable on the job site, able to pick up materials when needed, troubleshooting issues in real time, and not afraid to get a little dirty to keep the schedule on track.
Required Responsibilities:
- Support the management of construction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors
- Track daily progress, sequencing, and jobsite issues
- Handle materials, logistics, and on‑site problem solving
- Assist with inspections, punch lists, and closeout
- Keep jobs organized, productive, and moving forward
Characteristics:
- Strong construction background and jobsite experience
- Excellent organizational skills and follow‑through
- Ability to read and understand plans and specs
- Takes initiative and ownership of outcomes
- Wants to grow a career in construction management
This role is ideal for a superintendent‑type or experienced field professional ready to take the next step and learn the full project management side of construction while still staying hands‑on.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
· Regular lifting and moving up to 50-75 lbs
· Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing and working at heights
· Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and perform repetitive physical tasks
· Working in outdoor conditions with exposure to weather, noise, dust, and active construction activity
· Occasional office-based tasks at a desk, including computer and paperwork duties
