Job Overview
We are seeking two friendly Laundry Attendants to join our team afternoons and weekends, plus floating at Duneland Laundry, 600 Broadway, Chesterton.
"Floating" would be to cover vacations and related absence. This job is low stress and ideal for persons who are looking for a little extra income or time out of the house. This job is a great fit for those that have a background in customer service , with experience in cash handling and basic math skills. As an Attendant, you will play a key role in ensuring a clean and welcoming environment while assisting guests with their needs.
PAY: Starting pay of $12.00 applies after a training period of 3 shifts minimum followed by 2 probationary weekends working solo.

Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide customer service.
- Wash, dry & fold service for commercial & personal accounts (Airbnb and the like)
- Take credit card payments and record sales on Square terminal
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas, ensuring that the environment is clean and inviting for guests. Janitorial skills apply.
- A "people person" will find this job rewarding.
Qualifications
- Previous experience doing laundry is preferred (home or work)
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ability to maintain a clean work environment and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Experience operating cash registers or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and guest satisfaction is essential.
- We will train you to do the laundry and related paperwork.
