Overview:
We are a family-owned and operated diner seeking a reliable and enthusiastic line cook to join our kitchen team. As a line cook, you’ll play an essential role in preparing and cooking high-quality meals, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and helping create a welcoming dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to diner standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking line, prep areas, and storage.
- Assist with inventory, prep work, and restocking as needed.
- Communicate effectively with servers and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate orders.
- Support the team during busy shifts and adapt to changing needs.
Qualifications:
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred but not required (we are willing to train the right candidate).
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Flexible availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays.
