Challengers Independent Living is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive life skils services to youth who reside in foster care. Over 25 years, Challengers has served nearly 2000 of Maryland's most vulnerable youth. Challengers mission is to prevent homelessness of youth aging out of foster care.
**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Childcare Provider to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide nurturing and stimulating childcare for adolescents. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about changing lives of children residing in foster care and is looking to make a positive impact on young lives.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide high-quality childcare to children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
- Create engaging and safe environments for children to learn and play.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, such as arts, crafts, and educational games.
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive "homelike" environment that promotes social skills, emotional intelligence, and cognitive development.
- Work closely with children with special needs, providing additional support and accommodations as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, meals, and any incidents that may occur.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in residential childcare.
**Requirements**
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with parents and caregivers.
- A commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- A valid Maryland drivers license
- High school diploma
Minimum 23 years of age
Back End Part-time shift ($18 per hour) Weekly Total 24 hours
Friday- 7pm-3am- (8 hours)
Saturday Split Shift- 7pm-3am/10am-2pm (12 hours)
Sunday Split Shift-10am-2pm (4 hours)
Pay: $18.00 - $18.01 per hour
