Supplemental Health Care has partnered with local NYC school districts to hire licensed school nurses (RN) to work in Manhattan and the other four boroughs. As a school professional with SHC, you'll be supported by a dedicated team of recruiters and employment professionals who understand schools and your unique needs as a School-based Registered Nurse.
Qualifications:
- New York RN License
- American Heart Association BLS
- Minimum of 1 year of prior nursing experience in a school or pediatric setting
School Health Office RN Contract Details:
- $62 to $70 an hour (based on borough)*
- Per diem and Full-time school nurse coverage available
- Monday to Friday schedule following the school district calendar
- RN will see students on an as-needed basis in the school health office
- Nurse will be working in collaboration with the school interdisciplinary team and student guardian(s) to promote physical and emotional safety and wellness
- Additional openings for Field Trip RNs
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Providing healthcare to students with acute or chronic health problems
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by physician order
- Conduct screenings and write referrals for health services or treatment
- Maintaining Student Records while complying with state and federal screenings
- Promoting education and wellness initiatives
