Position Overview
The ADON role is a permanent position designed to support clinical, operational, and administrative functions across the organization. This role aims to enhance clinical quality, strengthen documentation practices, support interdisciplinary collaboration, and contribute to operational efficiency.
The position offers opportunities to expand clinical expertise, participate in field-based activities, and develop leadership and management-related skills.
Work Model: In-Person, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- This can be a hybrid role and may require homecare visits, and/or on-the-road training as needed.
Key Responsibilities described below, but not limited to:
Quality & Compliance
- Conduct QA chart reviews and ensure compliance with agency, state, and payer standards
- Identify documentation trends and provide clear, actionable feedback
Education & Documentation Support
- Coach clinicians on improving documentation quality
- Support onboarding and training of new nursing staff
- Provide in-field/on-the-road training as needed
Referral, Intake & Scheduling Support
- Review referrals for clinical appropriateness
- Collaborate with intake and scheduling on patient care needs
- Assist with time-sensitive clinical tasks (e.g., medication lists, communication notes, transfers)
Insurance, Reimbursement & Clinical Support
- Apply payer-specific guidelines and coverage criteria
- Serve as a clinical resource for staff on patient care and eligibility
- Support appropriate service utilization to minimize denials and financial loss
Clinical Communication
- Coordinate with patients, families, and case managers
- Escalate concerns to the DON or leadership as appropriate
Leadership & Operational Support
- Back up the DON in her absence
- Participate in leadership activities and coordinate during IDT meetings
- Lead or facilitate meetings as needed
- Support day-to-day clinical and administrative operations
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned
- Participate in weekend on-call rotation (additional $250/weekend), including field support if needed
- Order patient supplies through DME platform as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
