About M'RHEN
M'RHEN is a New York–and Taipei–based luxury womenswear brand focused on refined femininity, emotional resonance, and intentional craftsmanship. Produced in New York City, the brand is known for its elevated tailoring, feminine silhouettes, and intimate approach to luxury.
The Role
We are looking for a sharp, highly organized, and resourceful Executive & Business Operations Manager to work directly alongside our Founder & Creative Director and serve as an operational right hand across M'RHEN.
This is a highly hands-on role at the center of a growing luxury fashion company. You will own key day-to-day business operations while providing the executive support that enables the founder and broader team to operate effectively. Your scope will span business and financial administration, executive operations, inventory and ecommerce, showroom and client experience, and special projects.
We are looking for someone who doesn't simply execute tasks, but creates structure, identifies what needs attention, follows through across multiple stakeholders, and takes ownership of getting things done.
Because M'RHEN is a small and growing company, there is no hierarchy of tasks. You should be equally comfortable preparing financial reports, coordinating with an accountant or production partner, managing a VIP client request, organizing the founder's international travel, or preparing the showroom ahead of an appointment.
For the right person, this is a rare opportunity to become a trusted operating partner to the founder while gaining firsthand exposure to the commercial, financial, creative, and operational decisions involved in building a luxury fashion house.
Business & Financial Operations
- Maintain day-to-day financial visibility across the business, including expense tracking, receipt management, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and cash-flow reporting.
- Coordinate vendor payments, client invoicing, and payment follow-up.
- Maintain organized financial records and liaise with the brand's external accountant on bookkeeping, tax preparation, reporting, and related financial administration.
- Work with production and the founder to maintain visibility into production costs, margins, inventory value, and collection-level spending.
- Prepare financial and operational information to support the founder's budgeting, cash-planning, and collection-planning decisions.
- Coordinate payroll, insurance, business filings, and basic HR and compliance administration.
- Build and maintain operational systems for expenses, inventory, reporting, documentation, and internal communication.
- Identify operational gaps and proactively implement better processes as the company grows.
Executive & Founder Operations
- Manage the founder's calendar, appointments, meetings, and daily priorities, anticipating needs and protecting the founder's time.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel, itineraries, reservations, and transportation with precision.
- Handle personal errands and administrative needs with discretion and follow-through.
- Maintain organization across documents, contracts, receipts, records, and internal systems.
- Liaise with factories, freelancers, PR teams, stylists, consultants, and external partners on behalf of the founder.
- Track key follow-ups, deadlines, and outstanding decisions across the business, ensuring priorities move forward.
- Prepare materials, information, and briefings needed for meetings and decision-making.
- Support day-to-day operational needs and special priorities as they arise.
Inventory & Ecommerce Operations
- Oversee accurate and timely fulfillment of ecommerce and client orders.
- Maintain visibility into studio inventory, garment movements, and stock levels.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and flag discrepancies or low-stock positions.
- Coordinate sample trafficking, messenger pickups, shipments, returns, and inventory transfers.
- Coordinate with studio and production partners to ensure garments and samples are where they need to be.
- Support Shopify and other ecommerce operations and workflows as needed.
Showroom & Client Experience
- Manage and service showroom appointments with warmth, professionalism, discretion, and a strong eye for styling.
- Serve as a first point of contact for VIP clients and custom-order inquiries, gathering details, communicating timelines, and escalating decisions to the founder when appropriate.
- Communicate with clients via email and phone with exceptional care and precision.
- Support gifting, hospitality, alterations, special orders, and order coordination to maintain an elevated client experience.
- Maintain showroom presentation, including merchandising, steaming, organization, and restocking.
- Support trunk shows, pop-ups, photoshoots, market appointments, and other brand events.
Special Projects
As a close operating partner to the founder, the Executive & Business Operations Manager will support projects that fall outside a traditional job description. These may include research, vendor sourcing, events, new operational systems, market preparation, client initiatives, and other priorities that arise as the company grows.
The ability to take an ambiguous problem, determine what needs to happen, and drive it toward completion is essential.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of relevant professional experience; experience in fashion, luxury, retail, hospitality, or another highly detail-oriented environment strongly preferred.
- Prior experience supporting a founder, entrepreneur, executive, or creative leader is a strong plus.
- Strong operational instincts and demonstrated ability to create structure, maintain systems, and follow projects through to completion.
- Comfortable working with numbers and financial information, with a working knowledge of bookkeeping, AP/AR, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- High level of discretion, judgment, and professionalism; comfortable handling sensitive business, financial, client, and personal information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong client-facing presence and comfort interacting with high-end clientele and senior external partners.
- A critical eye for garments, presentation, fit, and styling.
- Proactive, resourceful, and calm under pressure, with the instinct to identify what needs to happen rather than waiting to be assigned every task.
- Comfortable moving fluidly between high-level and hands-on responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Shopify, Google Workspace, Notion, Airtable, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Based in New York City with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends during events, shoots, and market periods.
Who Will Thrive in This Role
You may be a particularly strong fit if you naturally notice what is missing, create a system for it, and follow through without needing repeated direction.
You are interested not only in fashion, but in how a fashion business actually works. You want exposure to the decisions behind product, clients, operations, finance, production, PR, and growth—and you are willing to do the detailed work required to understand them.
You are comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment where priorities can shift quickly and no two days look exactly the same. You enjoy being close to the action, operating with a high level of trust, and becoming increasingly valuable as you develop a deeper understanding of the founder and the business.
