Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaning Technician to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning duties across commercial facilities and residential homes. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will ensure that our spaces meet the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with janitorial or custodial experience who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Some experience preferred but not required. This position starts at 1-3 days per week plus potential extra hours on heavier booked days with 1-2 weeks notice. Staring pay is $20/hour with an increase to $25-$30/hour after 30-60 day trial period dependent on performance. There will be opportunity for full time positions as the company continues to grow!
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to ensure surfaces are spotless and well-maintained.
- Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques to remove stains, dirt, and allergens.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, hallways, and common areas by sanitizing surfaces, restocking supplies, and disposing of waste.
- Use specialized cleaning tools and products for floor care and environmental services to promote a healthy environment.
- Follow established safety procedures during all cleaning tasks to prevent accidents or damage.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors for resolution.
- Adhere to all company policies and environmental standards while delivering exceptional custodial services.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or residential settings.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing floors.
- Skilled in carpet cleaning methods such as extraction or steam cleaning.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality.
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks involving standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment.
