Outside Unlimited is currently searching for an experienced Fleet and Small Engine Mechanic!

The Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for handling maintenance and repairs on commercial landscaping equipment including trucks, trailers, mowers, blowers, string trimmers, edgers, and other related equipment. The Fleet Mechanic will possess the organizational skills necessary to handle multiple projects with different deadlines, document and track all maintenance/repairs, purchases appropriately and effectively communicate with management team on maintenance schedules. Experience working on skids, loaders, mini excavators, trailers, and heavy engine repair a plus! Looking for a self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently. This role will have use of a company vehicle, so a clean driving record is required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles, landscape equipment and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure equipment is in proper working order.
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Follow schematics, diagrams, and manuals to accurately complete repairs.
- Perform vehicle maintenance and brake repairs.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a mechanic is required.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, and schematics.
- Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Requirements of Landscape Fleet Mechanic
· Minimum 2 years of experience
· Experience with snow and ice management a plus!
· Valid Driver's License
· Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
