Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare professionals in providing quality care to patients in various medical settings, especially a newly formed weight loss clinic.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, assisting with minor procedures, and administering medications
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
- Assist with patient check-in, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care
- Handle front desk duties such as answering phones and verifying insurance information
Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical procedures
- Experience working in a clinic, urgent care, or inpatient setting is preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care and maintain professionalism
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is required
