Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, tankers, and flatbeds. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The Truck Driver will be responsible for load unloading and ensuring that cargo is secured for transit.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, tankers, and flatbeds, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo delivered.
- Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any delays or issues encountered during transport.
- Utilize manual transmission when required and operate forklifts for loading/unloading tasks.
- Follow company policies regarding safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being driven (e.g., tanker, flatbed).
- Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of route driving.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
- Experience with load unloading procedures and equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
