Ignite Recovery Center is a AHCA & DCF licensed primary mental health & addiction treatment provider in the South Florida metro area. We work closely with the surrounding community to provide accessible addiction and mental health treatment for all individuals.
Ignite Recovery Center is seeking a full-time Primary Therapist. The Primary Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical services to clients and their families. This includes individual, family, group therapy, crisis intervention, assessment, planning, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary teamwork. The Primary Therapist is responsible for formulating and implementing appropriate treatment plans for clients on their assigned caseload and for timely and satisfactory documentation of all treatment efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides mental health counseling in the form of individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
- Conducts required screenings and assessments based on facility guidelines of patient needs, including biopsychosocial, suicide, etc.
- Develops treatment plans with measurable and attainable goals.
- Proficient in the documentation process that includes but not limited to clinical progress notes, treatment planning, and all other pertinent clinical documentation.
- Participates in interdisciplinary staff meetings with other professional staff members, doctors, and counselors to discuss evaluate and develop treatment plans
- Shares pertinent information with team as obtained from patient’s family, or others as indicated throughout program.
- Evaluates the impact of therapeutic interventions upon the therapeutic milieu.
- Documents the assessment of patient progress/regress and interventions provided in the medical record, on an ongoing basis.
- Recognizes, responds to and assists in psychiatric crisis situations and provide the intervention necessary.
- Coordinates discharge planning for all assigned clients. Assists in developing aftercare plans and completes all discharge paperwork.
- Maintains ethical actions and boundaries with respect to all decisions and professional duties.
- Participates in required trainings and continuing education in compliance with licensing, accreditation bodies and organization policy.
- Knowledge of LOCUS patient placement criteria and DSM-V.
- Responds and assists in medical emergency situations as directed and needed.
- Communicates effectively with patient, staff and medical providers.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with a minimum of master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or another health and/or human services related field.
- A Licensed Clinical Professional in possession of a valid Florida License such as LMHC or LCSW, preferred.
- Will consider registered interns with the state of Florida.
- MUST be able to pass an AHCA Level II Background screening https://info.flclearinghouse.com
- Proficient at Microsoft Office365 Suite, preferred.
- Knowledge of KIPU EMR is a plus but will train.
- CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting, preferably in an inpatient or residential setting.
