Position Description
The PreWeigh Forklift Operator is responsible for keeping the PreWeigh department stocked with supplies to support the chemical batching process.
Responsibilities
-
Pull and restock raw materials and chemicals as directed, using lifts, jacks, tippers, carts or hands, ensuring proper tagging of products.

Maintain a clean and safe PreWeigh are and aisles, addressing spills promptly using mops, hoses, brooms, etc.

Provide support to the QC Lab, Production, and Compounding departments as needed.

Return empty barrels and containers to the Utility Workers area.

Perform material transfers using RF scanners.
-
Locate lost or missing chemicals.
-
Coordinate pallets in aisles to make space for new products.

Report any safety or mechanical issues, including forklift concerns, to the Coordinator/Lead/Manager.

Report all accidents or incidents to an appropriate member of leadership promptly.

Follow all safety procedures and company policies, including OSHA, FDA, GMP, and Cohere Beauty specific protocols.

Maintain cleanliness and good working order of all assigned equipment.

Comply with all safety and compliance standards set forth by the Company.

Communicate effectively and professionally with others on the radio and in person.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Perform all work onsite.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience
-
High School or equivalent.
-
Minimum of 1 year of stand-up forklift experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
-
Ability to operate a stand-up forklift, pallet jack, and other related materials handling equipment.

Intermediate math skills, including division, multiplication, fractions, and percentages.

Ability to read and interpret measurement scales and gauges, including metric units.

Ability to understand complex safety regulations (OSHA), MSDS forms, FDA regulations, and GMP compliance.

Ability to communicate effectively via electronic devices and in person.

High attention to detail and good organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and complete tasks under pressure.

Knowledge of proper hazardous shipment handling procedures and markings.

Inventory control knowledge.
-
Ability to read, write, and speak English competently.

Ability to work onsite.

Ability to maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
Preferred Knowledge, Certifications, Skills & Abilities
-
Current Forklift certification or related training.
-
Hazardous Materials training.
-
Knowledge of RF Scanner devices (AS400 preferred).
-
One [1] year of experience within a manufacturing environment.
