Brookline Nursing & Rehab is seeking skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of our patients while adhering to all healthcare regulations and protocols.
Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs):
- Perform routine nursing tasks, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with procedures
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Athenahealth
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures
- Administer injections and medications as prescribed by the healthcare provider
- Assist with wound care, including suture removal and dressing changes
- Perform basic life support measures in emergency situations
Qualifications of the Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs):
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a healthcare setting
- CPR certification (Basic Life Support)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
