POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization with completion of an accredited medical assistant program. Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (MA) and possess a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.

Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' chart and EMR system. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.

Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone and maintaining records.

Performing basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assisting with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

Documenting the provider's encounter with patients. Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. Transcribes patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.

Ability to prioritize needs and plan work accordingly.

Knowledge of HIPPA.
Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
