Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Manager
Location: St. Louis, MO (Primarily Local – Minimal Travel)

Schedule: 40 Hours+/Week; On-Call Availability Required

We’re a fast-growing BBQ company with 22 locations across 5 states, known for our dedication to great food and quality service. We’re looking for a skilled and self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our team. This individual will be our primary in-house maintenance resource, handling day-to-day repairs and coordinating with outside vendors when needed.
Position Overview:
As the Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing critical building systems and equipment across our restaurants, with a focus on HVAC systems (including coolers, freezers, and rooftop units). You’ll also troubleshoot and perform various general maintenance tasks—like a jack-of-all-trades—helping to keep our locations running smoothly. While minimal travel may be required, most work will be based in the St. Louis area.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and reactive maintenance across all facilities, with an emphasis on HVAC systems (walk-in coolers/freezers, rooftop units).

Troubleshoot and repair general building systems: electrical, plumbing, lighting, and equipment.

Maintain and service BBQ smokers and other specialized restaurant equipment (preferred).

Coordinate and oversee third-party vendors and contractors when outside services are required.

Respond to maintenance emergencies, including after-hours on-call availability.

Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance logs, and vendor interactions.

Ensure compliance with local safety codes and health regulations.

Make recommendations for equipment replacement, upgrades, or preventive improvements.
Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on facilities or maintenance experience, preferably in a restaurant or retail environment.

Proven HVAC experience (EPA Certification preferred) (at least 2 years preferred).

Experience working with commercial kitchen equipment, especially smokers (a plus).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage time independently and prioritize tasks across multiple locations.

Must be comfortable working with tools and performing physical tasks (lifting, climbing ladders, etc.).

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
Work Environment & Expectations:

Primary work is local (St. Louis metro), though occasional travel to other regions (within 5 states) may be required.

Must be willing to work some evenings or weekends and be on-call for emergencies.
