Responsibilities
- Prepare sushi, sashimi, rolls, nigiri, and other Japanese dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
- Ensure food is prepared fresh, presented attractively, and served consistently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times.
- Follow all food safety and health regulations.
- Monitor ingredient quality and assist with inventory management.
- Properly store, rotate, and label food products.
- Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner service.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.
- Assist with prep work and other kitchen duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Sushi Chef is preferred.
- Knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and knife skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
- Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
