Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team. The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering products to customers, providing excellent service, collecting payments when required, and representing Sunset Wholesale West in a professional manner.
The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to safely handle physical demands, including lifting packages up to 50 pounds. The Delivery Driver must be comfortable working independently, following delivery schedules, and operating in various weather conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Load delivery vehicle accurately and safely according to delivery schedules.
- Transport and deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Safely unload products at customer locations.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with customers and representing the company.
- Obtain required customer signatures, delivery confirmations, and payment documentation.
- Accurately collect payments when required and provide customer receipts.
- Return all required delivery paperwork and documentation to the appropriate department.
- Follow all traffic laws, posted speed limits, and company driving policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle, including interior cleanliness.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections, including checking tires, lights, fluid levels, and overall vehicle condition.
- Report vehicle issues and schedule routine maintenance as needed.
- Follow company vehicle policies, including no smoking in company vehicles.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Report any accidents immediately and provide all required information to management.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Three (3) years of delivery, driving, warehouse, or related experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience handling deliveries and customer interactions preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for payments and documentation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong organization, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet delivery schedules.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Comfortable using navigation software and delivery applications.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.

- Must be able to work in both indoor warehouse and outdoor environments.

- Requires visual ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment.
