Founding Team Member – Lead Installer & Access Integrator

We are launching a new, high-end gate and access control firm in Southwest Florida, specializing in commercial, luxury residential, and self-storage security solutions. We are looking for a Founding Lead Installer & Access Integrator who doesn’t just "install" hardware, but understands the ecosystem of connected security.
If you are a technician who lives in the details of low-voltage wiring, system integration, and automation, we want you to help us build this company from the ground up.
The Role
You will be the primary technical authority on our projects, handling the end-to-end deployment of sophisticated access systems.
- System Integration: Deploy and integrate best-in-class hardware, including LiftMaster and Viking gate operators, Genie commercial operators, and Janus International (Nokē Smart Entry) self-storage ecosystems.
- Access Control Engineering: Install and configure unit-level smart locks, gate controllers, man-door readers, and intercoms.
- Full-Stack Implementation: Handle the physical installation (mounting, wiring, concrete/conduit prep) through to the digital commissioning (software configuration, cloud portal setup, and tenant onboarding).
- Troubleshooting: Act as the lead expert for complex faults, system-to-software communication errors, and network connectivity issues.
What We’re Looking For
- Deep Product Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Janus International/Nokē smart-entry systems and major gate operator brands (LiftMaster, Viking, FAAC).
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of low-voltage cabling, OSDP/Wiegand protocols, and field wiring.
- Network Literacy: Ability to configure site networks, IP-based controllers, and wireless bridges for cloud-managed security.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: As a founding member, you’ll help define our installation standards, documentation, and technical service protocols.
- Local Professionalism: A commitment to the "white-glove" standard required for our high-end residential and commercial clients across Southwest Florida.
Preferred Credentials & Qualifications
- State Licensing: Florida Certified Alarm System Contractor (EF) or Electrical Contractor (EC) license preferred.
- Manufacturer Certifications: Current certifications for Janus International (Nokē), LiftMaster, or Viking Access Systems.
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency with IP-based access control and IoT integration in a commercial or self-storage environment.
- Field Experience: 3+ years in gate automation or physical security integration.
