Role Overview
We're hiring a hands-on Quality Supervisor to lead quality assurance and food safety operations at our cold-storage DTC fulfillment facility. This role owns the safety, integrity, and quality of all perishable products moving through the facility — supervising a team on the floor while enforcing food safety standards, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining full audit readiness.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily quality operations including inbound product inspection, in-process checks, and outbound order verification across frozen, refrigerated, and ambient zones
- Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances; document root causes and drive corrective and preventive actions
- Oversee the facility sanitation program (master sanitation schedules, pre-operational inspections, cleaning verification) and monitor/document temperature controls; quarantine impacted product during excursions
- Verify FIFO/FEFO and date-code controls; manage product hold, release, and disposition decisions in coordination with operations and inventory
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, HACCP, and SQF; own quality documentation for audits and lead recall readiness through mock recalls and lot/batch traceability
Requirements
- 4+ years of quality assurance or food safety experience in a food, beverage, or perishables environment, with at least 2 years focused on QA
- 1+ years in a supervisory or lead role managing a team
- Working knowledge of HACCP, FSMA, and GMPs; HACCP and/or PCQI certification preferred
- Strong Excel and documentation skills for tracking inspections, non-conformances, and quality metrics
- Cold storage or temperature-controlled fulfillment experience strongly preferred; able to work extended shifts in cold and freezer environments
Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
