Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mason Tender to join our team. In this crucial role, you will assist in preparing and maintaining the work sites, ensuring that masonry projects progress smoothly and efficiently. Duties
- Assist with the preparation of materials, including mixing mortar, concrete, and other building compounds
- Set up and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment necessary for masonry work
- Handle and operate hand tools and power tools safely to support bricklaying, stone masonry, rebar installation, and concrete finishing tasks
- Support the installation of building materials such as bricks, stones, concrete blocks, stucco, and trim carpentry components
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and clearing debris regularly on-site
Qualifications
- Prior experience in masonry-related positions - *highly preferred*
- Hands-on experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, plastering, caulking, and mortar work - *highly preferred*
- Familiarity with masonry scaffold building, stone masonry, bricklaying, and concrete masonry techniques - *mandatory*
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely - *mandatory*
- Understanding of safety procedures on construction sites and adherence to safety standards
- Basic carpentry skills a plus
- Excellent physical stamina for year round outdoor work, standing, lifting heavy materials, and working at heights as needed
- Must be able to pass random drug and alcohol tests
