Duties
- Interpret and follow detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to generator components and assemblies.
- Assemble mechanical parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to build generator units.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to install electrical components accurately.
- Set up machining tools such as CNC machines, calipers, micrometers, and measurement instruments for precise fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Install pneumatic systems, hydraulics, and electrical wiring in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Conduct quality control measurements using precision measuring instruments to ensure components meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment; perform repairs or escalate as needed.
- Interpret production documents including work orders, process instructions, and safety protocols to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling within the manufacturing environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to safety standards and best practices in industrial equipment handling.
Skills
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with confidence in interpreting mechanical and electrical details.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, measurement gauges, and other precision instruments for quality assurance.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC machining setups, and electrical wiring is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge including fabrication techniques, metal machining, welding, mechanical assembly, and power tool operation.
- Familiarity with pneumatic systems, hydraulics, industrial equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Ability to interpret manufacturing documents accurately while following safety procedures diligently.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, fabrication machinery, and measurement instruments for assembly tasks.
- Knowledge of industrial schematics related to electrical wiring diagrams and system layouts enhances troubleshooting efficiency.
